Questions
What is the difference between an inlet valve and a VacPort?
An inlet valve is the wall port your cleaning hose plugs into. A VacPort is a sweep-in door at floor level that nothing plugs into. Both tie into the same pipe system, and most homes have both.
Do these fittings work with other brands?
They are made for standard 2 in. central vacuum pipe and installation hose, the size most North American piped systems use.
Which fittings does a VacPort usually need?
Often none on a replacement. For a new port: a P-41 sweep tee off the main line, a P-21 elbow and a P-30 coupling, or the A-950-X kit, which has those plus hose and wire.
